Statement of Faith

I believe in one God who has always existed as three equal persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28 v 19)

I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, trustworthy and true. (2 Timothy 3 v 16-17)

I believe Jesus Christ is God, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death that paid for our sin through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension/rising up to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1; Matthew 1:18,25; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 9:15-22; 1 Corinthians 15:v 3-7; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 9:27-28)

I believe that accepting Jesus Christ as personal Saviour (with consequent receiving of the Holy Spirit) is the only pathway to salvation. (John 3 v 16; John 5 v 24; Ephesians 1 v 13-14)

I believe that for every Christian we have the presence of the Holy Spirit who encourages, inspires, comforts and empowers us to lead a Christ-like life. I believe that presence is seen in the fruits of the Spirit and that it is God’s desire to give to all His children those gifts of the Spirit as manifest in the early church. (Mark 16 v 15-18; John 14 v 16-17; John 16 v 7-11; Acts 2 v 17; Galatians 5 v 22-23;1 Corinthians 12 v 1-11)
